With the new eastbound off-ramp at the Pāpāmoa East Interchange (PEI) officially open - nine months ahead of schedule and under budget. This milestone marks a major step in the $100M Pāpāmoa Eastern Interchange project, which is set to improve travel, reduce congestion, and connect our community like never before.

Easier access - you can now reach us from the TEL in just two minutes.
Faster travel times - less traffic congestion means smoother trips around Tauranga.
More convenience - quick access to our shops, cafés, and of course, the beach.
A stronger community - better connections for people and businesses.
Getting here from the PEI - It couldn’t be simpler:
Exit the TEL at the new eastbound off-ramp to Pāpāmoa East.
Head west along Te Okuroa Drive.
Take the roundabout exit onto Stevenson Drive.
You’ll reach The Sands in no time, with access to The Sands carpark via Stevenson Drive or The Boulevard.
Looking ahead
The full interchange is due to open early next year, creating even greater connectivity for Pāpāmoa East and beyond.
